Planning For Your Future
For many of us, the thought of planning for the future seems out of reach due to everything going on with Covid-19. As I look around at various news sources there are two things that stick out to me as a trend:
The lack of financial stability people have due to not having an emergency fund in place and high unemployment that is widespread.
As an entrepreneur/freelancer that works 100% online remotely, I see that there are many opportunities that are available for people to take advantage of if they are flexible and know where to look. There are platforms like Remote.co and Flexjobs and even Upwork for remote opportunities.
Additionally, I think in the wake of this pandemic people are starting to think about getting their financial ducks in a row and using this as a wake-up call. They might take a look to see if life insurance is in place, do they have adequate medical and dental insurance in place? The need to become more financially literate and have a plan in place has become very apparent. If your interested in getting started on this journey then check out the site, Annuity.org and the article on financial literacy as it relates to Covid-19.
We are all in this together and knowledge coupled with planning is power. This is a great opportunity to start to plan for your future in all areas of your life.
