Lifestyle Design In Action!

So I have been talking for a few weeks now about lifestyle design and its' definition. I am discovering that lifestyle design is really becoming a movement. I am unsure if it is due to a reaction to the economic crisis that started in 2008 or for other reasons but the reality is people are getting plain fed up with going to work day in and day out for companies that seemingly do not care about them and their contributions. The factors that have contributed to this movement are less important. The key idea is that it is taking place and there are people in real time who are leaving their own personal stamp on the world.
Living A Different Life
Just a few months ago I started to think about my life and if I was happy with the way it was going. I was doing contracting work via a temporary service and quite frankly I had done this type of work alot in the past so much that my friends would call me the "temp queen". I really enjoyed going to work at different places like Apple, Zappos and numerous other interesting companies and helping support their teams. But in the last few months I started to get completely burnt out and wanted to find another way to fulfill that sense of wonder and entrepreneurial curiosity that I have. So I decided that it was time for me to step out on my own as a business owner and here I am. For months I listened to nothing less than over 10 podcast a day while working at my last contractor job and I was exposed to people who were living a different life. They were people like Laurel Staples who was a successful engineer who got fed up with living within the confines of corporate life and struck out on her own first as a retail store owner and currently as the host of her own weekly podcast "Go Fire Yourself". I also found Pat Flynn from www.smartandpassiveincome.com who was working in the architecture field and wanted to go to the next level in his field so he created a study tool to help himself pass an exam and in turn it helped other people who were on a similar path. As a result he transitioned into a new successful career as a blogger and podcast host who I study with passion to learn his tricks of the trade. Lifestyle design is real and people are living more happier fulfilled lives. Are you ready to jump on board and start re-writing your own story? Let me know.
