It's Monday morning and the alarm goes off and your thinking NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! You hit the alarm and turn over for a "quick nap" before you have to get ready for the day. Does this sound familiar? If it does, then it may be time to seriously think about making a career change.
Change Is Hard
Well, we all know that making changes in our lives can be challenging at best. But in this case it is a necessary evil to have a fulfilling work life. Here are some steps to think about during the planning of your career transition:
Define What a Career Change Looks Like For You
Do you need a complete career change from what you are currently doing? Or do you need to change the way you use the skill & talent that you possess? For example, if you are a cook in a busy restaurant, but like to travel then maybe you could change your job location to be a cook on a cruise ship or at a resort.
Take a Look At Your Budget
If you're like most people, then you are quite serious about making sure that you have enough money to meet all your needs especially the basic necessities. But don't let money shortfalls stop you from changing into a new career if that is what you truly desire. Life is short and it is very feasible to create a budget action plan which may include obtaining additional work to help save up enough money to be able to make a comfortable transition.
