We are 2 months into the stay at home orders that were given to us from our state representatives. Many people are suffering from a lack of work due to the virus and need desperately to figure out a new way to make ends meet. Could this finally be the right time for you to step out and pursue your entrepreneurial dream? Yes, it can but you have to know what type of entrepreneur you are? As I started off doing research for this post I found a few articles that had quizzes that you can take to learn more about what type of entrepreneur you are. It was a bit overwhelming as I started to dig more into it but in the end, it boils down to these three categories:
Are you a jack of all trades? This is someone who knows a little bit about a lot of areas. I would call this person a resourceful generalist. This could be great as an entrepreneur because you don’t get stuck in the details and you are good at delegation.
Are you an innovator? You are someone that is passionate about either improving an existing service, product, or idea or you thrive on creating something from scratch. This could be great for you as an entrepreneur because your focus would be on execution and how your offering impacts the world.
Are You A Legacy Builder? This might describe you if your family already has an existing business that you want to continue building on. Think of all the legacy businesses that we know of SC Johnson, Dell Technologies, Ford Motor Company, and the list goes on. These businesses are huge operations now but they didn’t start out that way. You could be on your way to building the next one.
We are living in challenging times right now. But this could be the right time to finally get started on your entrepreneurial journey.
