I am so excited about 2015. I think that it has great things in store for me, my family & friends. I decided this year that I would do something different. I decided to brainstorm ideas of how I would like my year to flow. As I did this I began to think about how I wanted my business to grow and I started to create a roadmap for my career as a business owner.

First, I must say Merry Xmas & Happy Holidays! I want to thank you for taking a few minutes away from the holiday celebrations to read my blog post. Today we are taking a quick look at a few unconventional careers that pay well in dollars and fulfillment. Here is a list of my top 5:
Show Me The Money!
Traveling School Teacher: This unique career choice involves taking the classroom on the road. According to The Traveling School.com, teachers travel with a small group of students over the globe. They spend a semester outside of the classroom where they can learn about diverse cultures and life skills. The compensation for this career depends on experience, but it does usually include all food & travel related expenses. And learning about different cultures on someone’s dime is priceless.
Tour Guide: This occupation is not for the shy. It involves taking groups of people on different excursions and activities. Job Monkey.com goes on to say it is a profession for people who, “have a passion for travel. Some exciting benefits for those who work hard and acquire various skills include: learning new languages, receiving advanced training, and learning some sporting skills for adventure tours”. This fun job can range anywhere between $19,000 to $54,000 depending on skills, tips & experience according to Payscale.com.
Voice-over Artists: Do you have a voice that is unique and that people constantly say should be in commercials? Well a career as a voice-over artist could be the perfect fit for you. These creative folks read scripts that provide information and are usually heard on television & radio. The Art Project states that the average voice-over artists can make around $33 an hour.
Music Lawyer: According to education-portal.com, Music lawyers have a lot of knowledge about the music industry and different record labels. They can sometimes use this knowledge to help music artists find record deals and get their music heard. They may spend their time drafting and negotiating record label and live performance contracts on behalf of music artists. The average hourly rate is around $77 an hour.
Forensic Accountant: This special area of accounting involves using a combination of accounting and investigative skills in various litigation support and investigative accounting settings. Forensic Accountants are employed by public accounting firms’ forensic accounting divisions; by consulting firms specializing in risk consulting and forensic accounting services; or by lawyers, law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, government organizations or financial institutions”, according to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. The average annual salary is $85,000.
