Perseverance is not for the faint of heart!

Have you ever gotten excited about achieving a goal and then halfway through you lose steam? The New Years resolutions to lose weight or save more money all come to mind. So how can you get past that hump and move on toward finishing the race you have started? Persevere! Well that is easier said than done right? But maybe there is a way to break up your goal into tiny little pieces so that it is more palpable. Create short actionable steps weekly toward your goal and once you have completed a step cross it off your list and celebrate. For example if you want to start a new career working for a fun innovative company you could do the following in order:
1. Research the company culture and history on Glassdoor.com
2. Next you could do research on the job title & potential salary by looking at www.salary.com or www.wetfeet.com.
3. You could determine if you need more training and register for classes online or in person.
4. Finally after you have crafted your resume to fit the position you are seeking then you can start your search.
It isn't easy and yes life will get in the way when you are trying to accomplish a goal but anything that is worthwhile and meaningful to you is easily worth it. Let me know how the perseverance race is going!
